Fund Spotlight

William Magee Borgersen tragically passed away in Savannah, Georgia due to a shooting incident. William lived most of his life in the community of Westwood, New Jersey. Following graduation from high school, he pursued a career in the military and was a proud member of the 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment.

Affectionately known by friends and family as Willy, he was a kind, thoughtful, sweet, and joyful soul whose outlook touched countless lives throughout his twenty-one short but meaningful years here on earth.

A pre-dawn knock on our front door on October 7, 2022, changed our lives forever. William's passing will never make sense to us, and the sadness hasn't faded. We are learning to live around the sorrow and continue to journey forward with heavy hearts overflowing with our love for sweet Willy. We live to honor William every day.

We are so grateful for the ongoing support and kindness from friends and family, near and far. We hope all who knew William will continue to share your memories of him, reminisce, and maybe have a good "Willy chuckle" along the way. His spirit lives through all who loved him.

We hope this Memorial Fund will honor and serve the communities William cherished while providing us with purposeful work and focus, and some opportunities to gather in Willy's fun-loving spirit.

Thank you for stopping by.

With our sincerest love,
